I kinda figured the University of Hawaii would be good but I've heard some bad things about professors and the school being horribly underfunded. I considered Temple University's branch campus in Japan but they don't offer a Japanese language major. Just Asian Studies major and Japanese minor/certificate. I graduated HS in 2001 and I'm currently not in school, I work full time in retail *groan*. Also, I don't have any outstanding merits or anything that would win me great recognition (graduated HS with a 2.8).

Please be sure to explain how it's different from the preterit tense. Also please give all of the common scenarios in which you would use the imperfect tense. Ex simultaneous actions, interuptions etc. I do already somewhat know imperfect, but I'm struggling with it. Any help would be greatly appreciated :)

Hi everyone,i know "hitch-hike" means "getting free rides in other people's cars".But "hitch" has that similar meaning as well,so can I always replace "hitch-hike" with "hitch"?e.g.say "hitch through Adelaide to Sydney" instead of "hitch-hike through Adelaide to Sydney"?Why do ppl tend to use "hitch-hike"?

I'm thinking of buying a Spanish-English, English-Spanish dictionary for myself (take Spanish 12 in the up-coming new semester). What's the best Spanish dictionary that you ever used? By that I mean easy to understand, doesn't have complex explanations. I've looked up a number of dictionaries in the library, but none worked to me.

I want to learn how to write, read, and especially how to speak Japanese. But first off, i want to speak it first. I would like some person to teach me by email. Even if once per week lessons, that would be goog enough. I find it hard to learn Japanese in other websites, since, well its hard.

How do you say, "I'm freezing my butt off" in Hungarian? I really and truly need honest answers, not some nut-case person who is typing some random words and says they're from Hungary. I need an honest answer!
