I get the "r" for words like Zimmer where it comes at the end, but can never seem to get it right with others like grünen. also, "ch" seems like it's always pronounced differently, either as /sh/ (chinesische) and in other words sometimes as that strange sound that sounds like you're choking and sometimes just like the "h" sound like when a cat hisses. (not very good descriptions i know, but i'm phonetically challenged).

I want to learn all the languages I can, and be as fluent in them as I can be. Can anyone give me the name of some good websites and/or books? Also, can anyone tell me what languages are the "easiest" to learn? All I currently know is English, as well as a few words in Spanish and Mandarin. By the way, I'm doing this on a very limited budget so please reffer me to free websites and books that I could find in my library.

I'm just amazed by the lack of correct spelling, grammar and punctuation. Maybe I should have been an English teacher.

I know the plural of that slur in Italian is "I Muliani". What does this Italian (RATHER Italian-American) racial slur towards African Americans and ANYONE ELSE in this world of African descent ACTUALLY mean (other than that familiar and notorious "n" word)?

For all you linguistically sensitive people out there: would you write Smorgasbord or Smörgåsbord? "a la" or "à la"? "Cyber cafe" or "Cyber café"? And so on. On the one hand, it seems "correct" to use all those foreign accents and things, but on the other hand, it seems standardised to just Anglicise everything.
