They tend to use the English word - shorts.

Edit: Although others say "pantalones cortos" which is 'correct' Spanish, I still maintain that most Spaniards will say "shorts". Can't speak for S. America.

shorts = pantalones cortos (correct translation)

the problem is that almost everybody says shorts.

You can say "cortos" and it is understood, but, "pantalones cortos" is more correct and will be understood anywhere Spanish is spoken.

Do u mean those little pants? we say "shorts", the same way you say in english. In some countries they also say "pantaloncillos", but "shorts" is some common and its what I use.

shorts sometimes but here in El Salvador we say: "calzoneta" too
