Languages - December 2006

I'm looking for classic novels to read, in English or French.I find it an extremely nice way to learn a language.But it's also very boring to look up words in the dictionary, so I was searching for editions which provide classic novels with glossary.But I HATE adaptations.For me,It's not only a question of learning vocabulary, but also of reading ,original books.Does anyone know where to find such books?

Many Muslims tell Christians and non-Arabic speaking people that we do not understand their Qur'an because we cannot read and understand Arabic. And many Muslims say that the English translations of their Qur'an are not correct, or valid. Why would God only write the Qur'an for Arabic speaking people? Is "Allah" an Arab god..... and not a god who communicates with all people.

I see so many answers where the answerer puts down the asker for poor grammar, mechanics, spelling, etc. Unless the question involved proper English, why not just leave it alone?

what languages should i learn to further my career, i was brought up speaking english, and i learned spanish from always hanging around my friend(mexican)'s family that didnt speak english, my teacher(i'm in medical prep class) said i would earn more money than anyone else in there because i was bilingual, what is another/some more languages i can learn to help further my career, i also speak a little japanese, just enough to get by but not enough to carry on a conversation
