My German grandmother would say she made a "bunser" when she farted. I'm not sure of the spelling, but the "u" sound was more like the "u" in June than in the word bun. I can't find anything like it in any German dictionaries

Knowing that there is probably, only a very small number of people in India who speak Romance languages in the first place, which Romance language would be considered the most widely-spoken in India? I was thinking either French or Portuguese, but I'm not sure.

I have to spell it the way it's pronounced because I've never seen it in writing. My grandma used it once when she had a bagful of cucumbers. She said, "I've got 'bookoo' cucumbers," meaning she had more than she knew what to do with.
