(without proper transliteration since i don't know how to type transliteration marks on the keyboard)

are these approximately correct?

"yadhal ha'ishah ben ba'ir" - "the woman bore a son in the city"?

"bara ha'navi davar anochi amarti" - "the prophet created a thing, I said"?

"shamarnu ophoth le'melech" - "we will keep birds for the king"?

what do u call someone who always watches what happens around them but sometimes pretends they dont know or at least keeps it for themselves- let's say they're a bit on the sly side(but not really evil).

Slang preferred.
Thanks.

Why do north Americans say I guess as in (it will, it is, etc.) and Brits say It I think as in (it will, it is, etc) Would you say it sums up the difference between our two nations. They guess and we think. Take that last statement how you like.

I spent the last year in Guatemala and heard this expression a lot... never quite knew what it meant. I'm assuming it's slang? Something along the lines of "no way"/"damn"/"wow" etc?? I don't plan on hearing it in Canada, and I know I won't have occassion to use it, either.. BUT, I'm still curious. So enlighten me, por favor!!
Muchas gracias!!!

I have a friend who poster this on her webpage & I was just wondering what it meant. I know it's in German & I think it's lyrics to some song, but I was wondering if anyone could translae it for me into English. I would use one of those online translators, but they don't always work that well:

Ich kriege nie genug vom Leben

"Ich kenne keine Grenzen Ich will die ganze Welt Und wenn ich weiter ziehen will Gibt es nichts was mich aufhält – oh, nein"

What is the most effective interactive language study software for home study--the very best method, most highly repected software regardless of cost? In a few months, I will be able to utilize other methods such as classes and probably the Berlitz language school, but I am temporarily house-bound for the next two months while recuperating from a serious surgery. I am beginning Italian. Prior to the surgery, I started with a private Italian instructor for 2 months, so I am not starting from total scratch, but am definitely still at the "Italian 101" level. Thanks so much!
