When you are talking about people with Spanish names, do you pronounce the names like they would be said in Spanish, or do you Anglocize them. For example, do you roll the r's in Spanisah names, or do you pronouce the vowel sounds in a more Spanish like way.

There is one line that I got confused in the following poem.
WHO AM I?

My victims are helpless; they cannot protect themselves against me because I have no name and no face.
To track me down is impossible. The harder you try, the more elusive I become.
I end ministries set up by God.
I ruin careers and cause sleepless nights, heartache and indigestion.
I spawn suspicion and generate grief.
I make headlines, headaches and heartaches.
I make innocent people cry in their pillows.
Even my name hisses.
I am Gossip.

My first question is,,,

In the second line from the bottom, it says "Even my name hisses"
That means my name makes a "s" sound or what?

In addition, could you correct my question? I am not sure if I put it down
rightly, I mean gramatically.

Am doing a cross stitch for Scottish friend and would like to put the phrase (either) "We need to join" or "We should join..." or "I would rather join.." in as close to Scottish dialect/pronunciation as possible; she is from Aberdeen, if that makes a difference.

She never learned to read or write in German. Can someone give me the correct spelling please?

or

"John and George were nice",

Which one is correct if George is alive (and still nice), but John is dead (and obviously, not nice any more)?

Or am I forced to make two separate statements: "John was nice and George still is".
