When you are talking about people with Spanish names, do you pronounce the names like they would be said in Spanish, or do you Anglocize them. For example, do you roll the r's in Spanisah names, or do you pronouce the vowel sounds in a more Spanish like way.

If you only speak English, you do the best you can. If you speak Spanish, of course you pronounce them the way they are pronounced correctly.

It depends on you. If you have hard time pronouncing them then you can only say it like you can. It might offend some people, but sometimes it's the best you can do. Ask people how to pronounce their name. They can help you. People used to botch my name all the time in the East Coast. It's Ortega. So I know the feeling. Some people even call themselves by the White version. It depends on the circumstances.

my name is spanish and my friends (non-latino) pronounce it anglocized. i don't mind...but it'd be nice if they said my name the way it should be said.
my latino/a friends say my name the way it should be said. my name has a rolling 'r' in it, and it's nice if you prnounce the name the way it should be.
