It just irritates me when someone uses the words fun and work in this manner. "I like going to the zoo, it's so fun!" Or, "My friend picked me up at my work."

That is just some horrible grammar. Even a 7th grader can talk better than that!!!

It could be said that way. But in written, it should be "I like going to the zoo, it's so much fun!" and " My friend picked me up at my work place."

My grammar once took me to the zoo. She looked just like the red a**ssed orangutan. It was fun!! My friend once picked my nose at work. There, are those any better??

I had years of "so MUCH fun" drilled into my head, and isn't "my work" a bit redundant? "Picked me up from work."
