The internet is worldwide

It's something to think about. I see lots of questions written in broken English with respones like "learn English idiot", or "what is your question dumbass?"

When you post an answer like this to someone who is just learning English you come off as a pompous jack-asss. Here they are, working on becoming bilingual and all you have to offer are childish insults. Ask yourself how many languages you can speak or write before you spout off with an undeservedly arrogant response.

Of course there are plenty of half literate Americans, Brits, etc. that can't write a proper sentence either. You should be able to tell the difference.

I need help deciding where to go for exchange through AFS. I get three choices. One of them is Spain. I have narrowed it down to Germany, France, Netherlands, Norway, Switzerland, and Italy. What would you pick and why? Thanks for your help

I read this French poem one time that went something like "C'est la porte que quelqu'un a ouverte, c'est le message que quelqu'un a lue...c'est la fleuve ou quelqu'un s'est jeté" which was basically about a note left on a table that someone read and then killed themself by jumping in the river...does anyone know who wrote this poem and what it's called?
