I picked up a self instruction kit for Russian today on a whim. I currently can only speak English as it is my native language but am interested in trying to learn another. Would it be much more difficult to learn Russian than perhaps German because of the different alphabet? Also, has anyone else tried self instruction with Russian and how did it go? Thanks - Sean.

I am an Indidan. I learned English as a foreign language. I was taught that it is wrong to use “reason” and “because” in the same sentence.

But I hear / see many native speakers of English language, esp. Americans say or write: “The reason we divorced is because he cheated”

In my opinion it should be “The reason why we divorced is he cheated” (“because” is removed and “why” added) or “We divorced because he cheated”

I would like to hear the opinion of native speakers of English Language

I know there is many english to spanish translators but im good with that, i need to know how to pronounce the words so i know how to speak them. If you can, find a translator the pronounces the words and is free and online. THANKYOU! It will come in handy because next year i will be going into spanish.
