English and Spanish languages?

Why is that when Mexicans live in the USA, Americans expect Mexicans to learn English but when Americans move to Mexico, Americans dont want to learn English and gripe about Mexcians living in Mexico not speaking english.

I have no idea. Alot of americans think they are better than anybody else in the world. I hear ppl comment, "Ppl should learn english in America" Which, yes it's true. The reality is though there is over 11 million immigrants not including all the other ppl from other latin countries or places like Puerto Rico who get citizenship. Si if there is a large spanish population, What's wrong speaking both languages? I know both languages and I teach my children both languages. Since this is the country of freedom, then ppl should have the freedom to speak as many languages they want. Since spanish draws more ppl because there is more latin countries than just France, Italy or etc.... PPL LEARN SPANISH. I think ppl should just stop insulting other ppl. like us mexicans because not all are just maxicans who know spanish.

Example: Why should Brazilians stop talking spanish if there is spanish spoken down there? Is anyone complaining nope!!!

Surprisely, when I traveled to Cancun, mx... It's mostly english. I even get upset because it's not authentic....

But you know what I am not complaining, SO PPL need STOP with their whining.......

yo estoy Kiwi, y estudio Español. Lo siento, mi Español no esto bueno. I agree, gringos are lazy about learning other languages. I can speak French better than Spanish and I never considered French-speaking people rude, but most of my friends do. I only discovered why recently. I made an attempt to learn their language. Everybody planning to visit another country should, at the very least, learn a few useful phrases and a few elementary things about their culture, like bowing in Japan, not touching women in Moslem countries, or talking about crusades against terrorism there, touching a person's head in Thailand and not pointing the soles of your feet to people in several other cultures.
