I need to know what people think if this word is offensive as I want to use it for the name of a totally non-sexual website, but the meaning of pimp is almost perfect. Any alternatives would also be greatly appreciated.

My 19-year-old cousin is a sophomore in college and wants to work toward ending poverty in Africa. I suggested he learn to speak the languages in the part of Africa where he'd like to work, as part of his course of study. Where can he do this?

Thank you.

I've always been taught that Senora is someone who was married at least once. So whether their married, divorced, widowed, etc., they're still a Senora. But until someone actually does marry they're considered a Senorita. (As in if a 50-year-old lady had never married, she would still be a Senorita.)

But lately a lot of my friends at school who take Spanish with me say that Senora is like Ud. but in a title form. (You would call an adult or respected personel a Senora.)

Which one is right? Or is there a different way you should use it? Is it used differently in different countries?

I just want to know usually Japanese people use Kanji, Hiragana or Katakana? Which one is the most popular? If they're using three of them now, then do Japanese students have to study all of them? I've seen a few Kanji words and their meanings are almost the same as Chinese, are they actually the same?

*Thanks for your answer*

Y'all means you all. You can be singular or plural. Therefore, you all is redundant. (like I saw with my own eyes here just i saw would be sufficient. What else do we see with. Just you will mean mor than one person.

May be people say y'all because they do not know you can mean more than one person.

Maybe it is attempt to emphasise.

I think if you want to stress that you mean more than one person, you should say say "all of you". Example: y'all are invited to the party" "All of you are invited to the party"

I see many Indians use y'all (maybe it is a translation of the Hindi word "aap sab"). Do the British y'all?

What are your views
