I agree, dense means thick, like thick headed. Dense is like not easily penetrated, not getting through easily. With regard to women who say man is dense, that means that it is very difficult to explain to a man exactly what you want and get him to agree to let you have it no matter how many times you repeat it, no matter how much you cry, beg, lay guilt trips, the guy just will not do what you want. It's hard to get through to the 'Yes dear" part of the brain of some men. Domesticated man is a lot less dense, easier to lead around on a liesh. Responds better to the whip. They understand the meaning of "I'm the boss, I have the ppppppp."

In my opinion, since some men are not able to so called "understand" a woman completely and more times than not they're just not able to "comprehend" what she means, some people end up calling men "dense." It might happen either because she's not telling anything to teach him a little bit, or he just didn't had a chance to get to know a woman yet. The word "dense" usually refers to the men as partly an insult to their egos and partly as generally summing them up to the level of animals... It is just cruel and not fair.
Men are not at all like that. They're smart, intellectual and sensitve creatures who need to be taken care of a little bit more patience, understanding, and compassion on the behalf of the women as well as the rest of the society. No one's a mind reader and especially when it comes to the intimate relationships, men are just as vulnerable as women are (no matter what others might say) and just like women they need a little bit more guidance in the field of emotions, feelings and expressing themselves easier to women. It takes men on average of 25-45% longer to comprehend emotions and feelings, than it is to come up with a solution to the more complex problem that might require more than just the use of his mind. When it comes to women, it's completely opposite--they comprehend, sense, and see all the possible emotions under the surface of the calm face expression in matter of seconds or even minutes. However, when it comes to solving complex problems, not all women can do that easily without any assistance from somebody else. Men are the natural problem solvers... yes, even in a relationship. They can come up with a lot more ideas on how to correct their mistakes and how to make it up for their wrong doing, than anyone in the society gives them credit for.
Sometimes women are so wrapped up into their own little ball of emotions and feelings, they end up completely forgetting those little facts about men and when they finally express themselves to their partners... poor guys end up looking at their women as if they're talking in a different language and they're not able to comprehend right away as to what their better half can mean. Hence, when a woman sees that look on the man's face she assumes the worst possible conclusion--"He's a mean, not caring and selfish man! He's so dense, he can't even listen to me anymore!" Does he deserve that? Is it his fault that he "can't understand" her? Of course not, but a lot women assume the complete opposite about the poor guy who's already kicking himself for not completely understanding his beloved.
That's the reason why it is so important to engage in mutual understanding of each one's differences, patience with one another, and communication between each other when in the relationship. This way, both sides will be able to understand each other not only verbally but also on the deeper and more emotional and mental level than ever before.

It means that men don't understand women's natures and it causes them a lot of turmoil in their love and sex lives and in a myriad of other ways. Here's my answer to another question that was closely related to yours. His question mentioned equal rights and yet women wanting men to chase them. Here's what I said:
Actually, my friend, you're quite mistaken . . . indeed, the opposite is so very true after three million years of evolution that for a huge majority of men who follow that "romantic manifesto" you're advocating: it makes their love and sex lives a living hell.
Women are NOT comfortable on the pedestals that romantic customs have established in the last 800-900 years. Woman prefer to put men on pedestals instead (Do you doubt me?) Well friend, when is the last time you bought a romance book? I don't know of any men, even by hearsay that buy romance books but this type of literature outsells every other genre COMBINED!! And just what happens in those books?
What happens is that the woman has to find a way to attract a less than willing mate into her life, love and family (via marriage). And just what kind of man do they go after?
Bad boys are the heroes in at least 90% of the romance literature. Regardless of the differing characters of all bad boys they have one thing in common . . . all bad boys play hard to get with a vengeance and all women love the unpredictability of this type of challenge. AMEN!
Women want equal rights and equal treatment everywhere but in lust and love. Good luck!
