If our grandparents are siblings we are second cousins and have the same great grandparents

My first cousin's child and I are first cousins once removed to each other (one generation difference between us)

My first cousin's grandchild and I are first cousins twice removed to each other (two generations difference between us)

A cousin is a child born to either of your parents' siblings.
A second cousin is a child born to your grandparents siblings.
A cousin once removed can be children of the above two situations. These are also 3rd and 4th cousins.....Now if I do not have this right, do not want to know....Have been looking and labeling a lot of pictures for albums from 5 and 6 generations. Good luck.
