Thanksgiving

[Selected]: All categories Society & Culture Holidays Thanksgiving

We eat egg noodles cooked in butter as one side dish. My husband who is from Georgia, thinks this is strange. I want to know areas some people are from and what are the typical things they eat. Mine, aside from turkey, are: mashed potatoes, green been casserole, NOODLES, bread, fresh vegetable platter, stuffing/dressing, olives (green and black). Of course we have pies - you can add those of you like.rr

Was it some sort of marketing ploy invented by some ingenious person? Because I was always taught that the pilgrims didn't actually eat any turkey on the original Thanksgiving day.

If I was Native American, I know 100% I would hate the wholeThanksgiving tradition. I just want to know your thoughts on the matter. And if you don't have a clue as to why, then go back to history class.

To Americans, when do you celebrate thanks giving, why do you celebrate it, where does the tradition come from, and do you still celebrate it annually, very religiously? And is that day a public holiday over there? And do all 51 states celebrate thanks giving?

Hi! This is Swaminathan &'m working in site based environment under tremendous work pressure. Whether unmarried upto 32 years make me feel so or basically environment where i am living in compels to think that. Actually, to be human being & be respectable what are the basic criterion to follow.

I'm suffering for past three years and away from my family most of the time. Now my family members are not trusting me as and when i get married. Now time has to decide what direction it tends to go (either +ve or -ve way). I believe in my life partner and should be understanding and working in a company or having wealthy environment so that i will not work in Gulf anymore or she should accompany me in my trials and tribulations throughtout my lifetime.
She will get it back in equivalent propotions. My effiency and planning gradually go down as the years are passing in desert and
i will be with my family only 26 days whenever i'm getting rest days after my continuous working days in desert.
