I was thinking it would probably be due to people being hungover; therefore, i was thinking either the day after new years (Jan 2) or the day after the fourth of july (july 5).

you were doing last 4th of July, or how long or short it has been since Christmas? Christmas seems like a decade away when the 4th of July rolls around. It doesn't seem like the two holidays could be in the same year. It get dark in Oregon around 5 PM during Christmas time and now it is still light at 9 PM. I tend to measure time as to how it happens to fall between one major holiday and the next, like Arbor Day and Columbus Day.

My friend is having a b-day and I really have no idea what to give her. Tired of giving spa certificates. Birthday girl: turning 35, married, 2 kids, can afford and has many things, no special interests, no hobbies, not into sports. Loves glamour, fashion, lives a celebrity like lifestyle.
I’m looking for something in the $200 max price range. I know it’s hard for a person like that to stay in that price but any ideas or suggestions are appreciated.

On August 31, 2007 it will be exactly one year that I haven't use any drugs. NA is giving me my key chain but I would like to know how people celebrate their 1 year clean. I'm thinking of getting everyone who had a positive influence on my recovery together for dinner and just a good time. What do you think?

we will probably cook out and watch fire works at our local baseball stadium ... we have severe drought conditions so... we don't want to chance shooting off our own fire works

our government has always insisted in bringing back family values...so should we bring back... work monday to friday ..saturday for shopping and sunday off to church .....of course hospitals etc cant close on sunday and how can we go shopping on sarurday with no staff in the shops.but why do we need to work so much. to buy time saving gadgets and spend no time with our kids............do you need house insurance on a sunday or a new 3 piece suite....cant it wait one more day....why do you need to work 7 days a week....finaly do you work to live ? or live to work?

My friends 18th birthday is coming up. I had an idea of what I wanted to get her, but I could use some suggestions. We're all going to college in a couple months so I want to get her something she'll use but is also really special. I guess that doesn't give you much to work off of, but any suggestions would be appreciated.
