The purpose of the fireworks, in my view, is replicating the fireworks that took place during the fight.
Fireworks can be used anytime as far as I am concerned, but they have a purpose on Independence Day.

I have a job with long hours.
Therefore, I think every weekend deserves to be celebrated with fireworks !

Only the 4th. Since all the other holidays we have our own way of celebrating them (trick or treat, parades, presents, etc)

I like fireworks but they do have a certain traditional value to a specific holiday, but i guess it would be fun to have them at other holidays as well! :)
