Everybody sounds like they're going to have so much fun!
It's just myself and my husband and my son, my husband has to work all day so my son and I will be home all day and probably watch the fireworks at Great America from our back balcony.
And I'll be visiting Yahoo to answer some questions and maybe ask a few questions.

Well, in my community the fourth is even better than Christmas....To be honest the two biggest celebrations where I live is Halloween and the Fourth....On the Independence Day we all go to the lake and open our cabins to anyone (no we are not rich by any stretch of the imagination--we just happen to live in a place that has not yet been invaded by insanely wealthy people hoping to find a vacation spot)..The cabins are opened and it is a lake wide "everyone is invited" sort of thing....People grill up giant cuts of meat and the beer just keeps flowing...In private we tell why we love this country and what is going wrong with this country (it does get heated sometimes haha) but overall it great because the kids get to have so much fun (and I must admit that I have just as much fun as they do when we set off the fireworks)...A great holiday and it is something that I wish all Americans would come together to celebrate.

well I usually blow about 700 dollars worth of fireworks up and put on one hell of a show for the neighbors and i BBQ for an army and all the kids come over and eat but this year not only did we move to a town that does not allow fireworks i have to work unfortunately people still get sick and do stupid things so in my line of work there are no days that get closed for the holiday hope everyone has a fun and safe fourth of July

Invitations have gone out to everyone ini our local libertarian group to show up at my house on the 4th for a picnic. All my family should show up as well.

So, the day starts with a trip to Sam's Club for the burgers and dogs and chicken - cant have a picnic without them. I expect to fire up the grill around noon time. Cakes and ice creams are already ordered and only need to be picked up.

People will probably show up around 1 oclock. The swimming etc will begin whenever they arrive. Fireworks will likely start around 8:30 PM and go through till midnight. Will have to stop then - cant do it all night as poeple will have to work the next day.
