If in order to quit believing in Santa you must give up dreaming about something so full of love and compasion that in fact I refuse to stop believing in the best of the holy spirit. I still believe in Santa at 40 I guess

At the age of 9 I stopped believing in Santa. That year, my father ordered the toys that I had asked for from a department store called Montgomery's Ward (I believe they are now out of business) Either he placed the order too late or the store was backed up. Whichever, when I finally received my toys it was January 9th. That was one of the saddest Christmases of my life. However, it was the Christman that I became a non believer.

My Dad played Santa at different times, so I knew it was him. But didn't want any body to know in case it might stop Christmas. I Love the magic of the Holiday.

I was 11 (yes, I know that's pretty old) and I decided to wait up to see Santa. However, I fell asleep. The next morning, my Dad (who thought I had stayed awake) said "Now you know that I'm Santa." I was devastated.

I'm 13 and I'm still proud to say that I believe in Santa even though none of my friends do. People who believe have a very large imagination.
