Yep - we have come along way since 1776, when soldiers marched through the cold snow without shoes. When the slightest disease was a death sentence.
George Washington could have taken over the country after he won the war, but he was humble and surrendered his sword to a congress that had been a pain in his side for several years.
And how could he fight a war like that today, seeing as how it took almost 9 years to win.
