While I understand that not everyone celebrates Christmas, I still tell people Merry Christmas. Not random people, but people I make contacnt with (ie. the bag boy who carries my items to the car, the teller in the check-out line, etc)

So here is my question. Do you tell people Merry Christmas? If you don't, what do you say? If you don't celebrate Christmas, do you get offended if someone wishes you a Merry Christmas? Should we say Happy Holidays instead? Should we say anything at all or treat it as just another day?

I'm not trying to push my religion onto others, I take saying "Merry Christmas" to others as wishing them the best during the Holiday season. If someone where to say to me "Happy Hanukkah" I'd reply "thank you, you too"

See what I mean? So what are your thoughts?

We usually hear about Safty tips this time of year, but maybe, we`ve forgotten some tips, or there could be a few we haven`t even heard of, I hope some of you can share a few, It will be greatly needed and appreciated, especially for some of our young folk who might be away from home, and on their own for the first time this year. I really resent the holiday. Is it really all that bad to not like it?

I was thinking of having something where the girls can get together, dress up in their Christmas duds, come over, hang out from 6:30-9:30 on a Friday night just before Christmas. This will give the parents an excellent chance to get out and shop for them.
Does anyone have any ideas as to what we can do for activities?
I was thinking about having like 6 of the regular 'click' of them over.

The holidays use to be fun until my uncle was murdered two days before Thanksgiving in '91, my grandmother on mom's side died two days after New Years in '98 then my grandfather on dad's side died on Christmas Day in '99, and now my grandfather on mom's side is doing pretty bad it could be any day now for him. I just don't feel happy during the holidays especially when I see families out together it just brings me down. Now I have to take my baby to see his dad's side of the family and I really don't feel up to it at all. Does anyone know how I feel or have any suggestions and I've already done counseling. I'm very sad not depressed I just don't like to be around families should I force myself to feel better?

Some stores sell Christmas trees that are made to be displayed upside down. Does anyone know a store in Indianapolis, Indiana that would sell them?

What can I get my mother-in-law and her boyfriend. They are in their 50's and pretty much have anything, and if they want it and don't have it, they just go out and buy it. I am stumped. Any suggestions?

Do you use the same theme yearly? How many lights are on your outdoor christmas tree? Do you get new decorations each year?

I need to plan a fairly low-cost Christmas Party, with games or contests involved, somewhere in or around San Clemente, CA 92673 for Dec 22nd at 11am. Any ideas?

I recently bot my very first christmas tree that is "pre lit" at an off season sale (did not come with instructions etc) . It came with lights and I'm scared to think that if one burns out, they all will...and I dont even know how to replace the bulbs. I tried to unscrew one of them and maybe I'm doing it wrong but it wont come off! Is it possible that these lights are non replaceable?
