It all depends on what his hobbies and likes are. Most men you can't go wrong with electronics. Kind of snoop around try to figure out what amount he is spending on you, and reciprocate that. Come right out and ask him if you can't find out by being sneaky. But it is your first Christmas and I don't mean to put a damper on it but be realistic. Guys aren't 100% right off the bat. They need a little convincing that only time can do. So don't over spend on your guy, but you don't want to underspend either.
Clothing is always great, but can be meaningless, and gets thrown away. How about a cologne? Maybe a peice of jewelry, isn't the jewelry type then try going to a mens store look around.
