I recently bot my very first christmas tree that is "pre lit" at an off season sale (did not come with instructions etc) . It came with lights and I'm scared to think that if one burns out, they all will...and I dont even know how to replace the bulbs. I tried to unscrew one of them and maybe I'm doing it wrong but it wont come off! Is it possible that these lights are non replaceable?

No -- more than likely, they just Pull out -- and if it is like most -- then you can purchase those tiny multi-color lights that have the little twin wires coming out of them for replacements.

So I would suggest you go to your local Discounter and look first in their Christmas Displays for a Mini-Light Puller -- and purchase it (shouldn't be more than a couple of dollars). Use that mini light puller on the light itself (you will know it is mini lights if the light is sitting in a plastic base with what looks like a separation between the base and a plastic ring). Then insert the puller so that it is lodged in the separation, and pull straight up.

IF that works -- congrats, you have mini-lights in your Pre-Lit Christmas Tree.

Otherwise, if it is a Fiber Optic Tree -- the procedure is pretty much the same -- but there will be a Halogen Bulb in the base that will screw apart (or sometimes pull apart too) and you will be able to replace that as well.

If it is new most of them are wired so if one goes out the others stay on. I've never looked that close at the pre lit trees but if the lights are like most light strings you simple pull the bulb straight out.
