It's everything for me.
The happiness, the family, smiling faces on excited children.
Christmas Eve, when my little sister is full of excitement for Santa to come.
Seeing people's faces are when you give them the perfect gift.
Snow, christmas music, christmas movies.
Christmas cookies, happiness and excitement in the air.
A little break from homework.
Getting gifts from people that love you.

What do you love about Christmas?

:)

so how do u guys keep ur cats out of ur tree (if u have one) i have tried everything and they just wont ignore the tree. they love the smell of citrus fruit so that wont work. i have heard from some people that spreading cinnamon around the tree skirt keeps them away but i dont know if that works so what do u do to keep ur cat away from the tree.

I don't want to sound like a grinch. But I am really tired of going all out for Christmas and not getting much for it except a lot of stress and bills. I go to great lengths to try to find the perfect gifts and then it's a disappointment. How do I back off? Is it ok to set a gift limit even for close family? I don't normally cheap out but this time, I want to be more sensible.

The tree comes in three parts....bottom, middle and top.

The bottom part is lit..but we are having problems with the middle and top liting. What could be causing this problem? The lights are all plugged in.

I have always told my kids that Santa only buys you ONE gift and a stocking, cause there are too many children in the world to buy for and he leaves it at the end of your bed.( the gift ) They open one gift on Christmas eve (new pajamas) Thank God cause Money issues this year won't be able to buy much. They are fine with that !!

Many years ago, I was working as a waitress (22), at a restaurant. We had a Christmas gift exchange, but no party. We were to draw names and gave the recipient the gifts. Another waiter (19), told me that he drew my name. He never gave me a gift. I went ahead and gave a gift for the waitress that I picked. When I asked him about it, he shook his head said he wasn't going to give me a gift. I was surprised since I never had a problem with him before. He just thought I was little miss nothing. He got a gift from a waitress that picked his name. Finally, I told him he should have asked to draw another name or not particpate at all. He said nothing. I told the manager, but he said there was nothing he could do. At the time, I thought that guys were like that and gift exchanges should be female only. I felt so bad and I never spoke about it until now. I know it was a long time ago, but how can people prevent something like that from happening in the future?

Last year, my office worked with a foster care program in our community. We bought gifts for the kids and the families.

The family gifts included:
* a gift certificate to Wal-Mart
* a gift certificate to Blockbuster
* A box of popcorn
* Small boxes of candy
* McDonalds gift certificates
* A board game
* A disposable camera

For the kids, we bought different gifts based on ages:
* Portable CD Player
* Barbies
* Stuffed animals
* Disney toys
* Art supplies

Well, it's that time of year again, and I need some suggestions. We spend approximately $50 per kid/family, and there will be some attendees from last year. Santa doesn't want to bring the same gifts again, so he's trying to come up with some new ideas.

I'd love to hear of good suggestions for these kids... this is largely what they get for Christmas. They are in attendance for the event, but Santa does hand out the presents.

Thanks, and Merry Christmas!!!

How come it feels like Christmas is coming earlier and earlier every year??? It isn't even Thanksgiving and there are Christmas trees for sale and wreaths hanging all around. (ohh.. not to mention the Christmas LIGHTS people already have turned on....) I just don't remember things like this happening until AT least Thanksgiving.

The party is a traditional 'Christmas night' relaxing time for our family and friends to get together. In the past we used something like this (we winged it and it was just ok).
We're Planning a party, please say you'll be here. Let's celebrate the season with good friends and good cheer! When the gifts are unwrapped and the day's almost through, come join us for the night, for it won't be the same without you. As you can see, we weren't very good at it. We don't want to use the same rhyme again. Can anyone help us? Funny would be great!

He is a 27 year old man whom can be quite picky. He'll be taking the whole month of December off, starting the 6th. I'd like to buy something before he gets time off because I normally work mornings from 6 till 9 and I'm afraid I wont have enough time to buy him something after that.

He likes 24, King of Queens, Star Track: Deep Space Nine, Babylon 5 and likes to play X-Box 360 and Wii games. His favorite soccer team is Borussia Dortmund (We live in Germany and he is German.).

He's also a software developer so I wouldn't know what I'd be getting if I buy him for the computer. He's planing on buying a new computer soon.
