Christmas (Holidays, Society & Culture) - December 2006

Exactly a year ago she had surgery for breast cancer, so around Christmas last year she felt really bad and wasn't in the holiday spirit. This year she's determined to make it a great Christmas and I want to get her something really special. Keep in mind, there's only a week till Christmas, so I need something I can get (OR make) fast. Any ideas?

Christmas gift dilemma?

I have to get something for my husband. The problem is that we both buy what ever we need through the year. No we are not rich. I always save one thing for Christmas that I want, but he doesn't. Exchanging gifts with each other seems silly to me, because we use the same checking account and right now he is the only one who works. So essentially, I am buying his gifts with his money. He doesn't need any thing. What should I get?

Do think that stores should be open on Christmas Day?

I certainly don't. In my opinion, they should be closed so the employees can spend the day with their families. It sickens me when people have to work on Christmas.

I need help on what to get my dad for Christmas. Help?

Okay, so I want to get a present for my 57 year old father.
He doesn't like sports anymore so suggesting gof clubs would be terrible. :]
He works as a computer programmer and he has a good sense of humour.
I'm tired of getting him gift cards because a lot of the time he doesn't really use them. [unless it's like home depot or lowes]
He likes working on things on the house.
So in conclusion.. I would love to get him something meaningfull that he'll really enjoy. Plus, it'd be nice if it was under 30 dollars.
