Here's some of my favorite Christmas movies: A Christmas Story, Elf, National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation, Its A Wonderful Life, Bells of St. Mary's, Miracle on 34th Street, The Grinch Who Stole Christmas, Home Alone, The Polar Express. They have a lot of these at Target, and there's usually a few on sale for $10. If you're looking for a movie to see in the theater, I just saw the new James Bond movie, and its great.
There's a lot of things that you can do while you're on vacation, that aren't very expensive. Here's some ideas: Invite some friends over to bake and decorate cookies together, have a game night at your house(there's a ton of great new boardgames out), go to the library (if you're into reading), check out some of your local museums and attractions, go ice skating. If you live in a snowy place, you can have fun in the snow (snowball fight, build a snowman, go sledding, etc...).

The Christmas Story- always a classic.
Christmas Vacation- hilarious!
Home Alone 2- goofy fun.
As far as something to do, we are going to be working on things around the house that we have been neglecting. Putting up border, painting. General home improvement.
Have fun!
