Every year my family plans on opening gifts in the morning but we always end up opening them the night before. What do you think is a better option? Which one is more fun?

Your family is doing the right thing, celebrating when you feel most like it. There is no right or wrong answer. The important thing is being together.

We are opening our gift's Christmas eve. The kids will have a lot of things to do on Christmas morning, and we get an extra hour of sleep.

we have always done it Christmas morning. sometimes we would open 1 gift Christmas eve, but I hated doing that. I like to wake up in the morning and enjoy my gifts. christmas eve is so exciting and busy already. We work, come home, either go to church or to my husbands mothers then have a few drinks, come home (we dont drive just so you know...no drinking and driving happening here) then watch a movies by the tree then go to bed. in the morning we make a big breakfast, my family comes over, we eat, clean up then its present time.

I think Christmas gifts should be opened on Christmas morning.

My family does it when we get home from Church & after dinner we used to do it Christmas moring but that ment we were up @ the Crack of Dawn if u have little kids do it in the moring or if the kids in ur family R older then open them the nite before now if ur the one havin ur whole fam over for Christmas dinner i'd do it the night before that way all of the Wrapping paper is picked up & the toys Clothes & other things R put up. Then if u have other family that comes over u with gifts then u can open them up then too what ever ur family wanna do

In my family everyone opens one gift on Christmas eve then we do the rest Christmas morning.

On Christmas. You most likely don't celebrate Valentine's Eve or 4th of July Eve, Labor Day Eve. etc. etc. So don't open til Dec. 25. Merry Christmas!

Christmas morning... it's fun to get up and see what Santa brought you! We open 1 special gift on Christmas eve, the rest wait until morning.

we open all of our immediate family gifts on christmas eve right after church- in the morning we have to leave to drive 3 hours to Grandma's house for more Christmas
