My side of the family has all the grandkids and adult kids exchange gifts through a name draw. My sister's kids drew my kids names out of the name draw, and they haven't received anything yet. Should I call my sister, because my kids drew 2 of her kids names, and we sent their gifts a couple of weeks ago. Or should I just forget it and after Christmas tell my siblings that my family will not be participating anymore? I don't care about the gifts themselves, because my kids have more than enough, but if you're going to participate in a gift exchange, and draw a name, AND accept a gift, shouldn't you give the gift you drew the name for? My sister pulls garbage like this all the time, and lives out of state, so they would've had to ship anything they got. I wouldn't even mind if it were me, but it's my kids. Any help/ideas would be appreciated. MERRY CHRISTMAS!!!

So if there is none, we can keep the ones we planned to give for ourselves....

Last year, we gave them presents, and we recieved none back, when opening our present they seemed really ungrateful, and tossed it to the side.

I skipped one Christmas because I was depressed, self-absorbed, wallowing in a pity-party that year. Looking back, I regret it because I hurt and disappointed several people.

Well, I want to. I was born and raised in the military, and then married into it. I have ALWAYS wanted a dog, but not as a yard ornament, as a member of the family. In sept. my Husband and I bought our first home. (we are close to 50 yrs) So, Today, I got an early christmas present. I was so surprised, I didn't know he was getting Me this dog, though he knew I wanted one. He rescued him from the pound. He is border collie, black lab mix, and he is so sweet. He is 4 1/2 months old. He has a white nose, 4 paws are white, and the tip of his tail is white, the rest black. It is by far, THE MOST WONDERFUL GIFT I HAVE EVER RECEIVED. I know this isn't a question, so you can give me a thumbs down, its ok, nothing will dampen my excitement. I had to share my happiness with the world!!! I hope everyones christmas is as fulfilled as mine has been. I feel like finally, our family is complete.

We recently went through a really hard stressful time in our relationship, and everyone says I shouldn't get him anything. But he got me something. (or made it?) His family is going through some major money troubles, and they can't even get each other gifts, really. He's a sweet guy and I thought I should get him a LITTLE something. I was thinking maybe a new sweatshirt, or an AXE set from wal mart or something. Its cold outside here, so I can't really plan out something cool outside to do. I just don't know! I've always wanted to be the original one, but its difficult.
