If their anything like mine you wont be getting any .!!! why should anyone toss a side a present, it sound's very ungrateful to me , I remember giving a small present to a young teen ,every time I visited ,the present was in the same place down by the side of a chair , I never gave that person a present from that day to this , it was nice and suitable for the child's age , i would blame the parent's , children must be taught to respect and show gratitude. In your situtation I would not give anything . out-laws.

you need to be the more mature ones by going ahead and giving them their presents, they are will get their's lets say, but do not sink down to their level. I'm sorry that your in-laws cannot understand that they can't hang onto your husband for ever and that he did what he is suppose to. If nothing else your husband should have a nice long chat with them and tell them that if they can't show you the respect that you deserve as part of the family then you will just do something else for christmas the following year and that they need to be accept you and if they can't then you can't come over anymore. Go ahead and go to your in-laws and exchange gifts with them or if they don't have anything for you yet again, give them your gift and then later on after christmas you husband should have a talk with them about how they treat you.

1. In a perfect world, the gift freely given with love will be graciously received. Since we don't live in a perfect world, whatever you give, give simply with love. Expect nothing in return and you may be pleasantly surprised when you receive what you had not expected.
2. It is more blessed to give than to receive. [Acts 20:35]

+Christmas is a time for giving, but it is also a time of love and understanding. They are showing none so you should show the same, when they comment, explain to them the error of thier ways.

give you in-law a gift that you do not want for yourself.Even if they seem a bit ungrateful it's the thought that count.

Then I'd wait for them to give to you first. maybe they don't believe in buying Christmas gifts. Are they Mormons, Jehovah witness or atheist?
