he's got a buttload of tools and clothes. and he likes jazz and reading.

Get him maybe a hat with a sax on it if u can find one. Or, get him a jazz book about a famous Jazz player. Get him a jazz cd w/a new walkman. Or, also on X-mas morning, start playing Jazz music to wake him up!!! Can he play a jazz instrument? Buy a book of music notes. U said he has a butload of tools, so get him a case to go around his hips like a plumbers. Also, Borders or Barnes & noble have a wide selection of books and music. try a book, music or a gift card! Merry Xmas!

Jazz CD- Ray Charles,-his first 2 jazz recordings, Dexter Gordon, Miles Davis "The lift to chaffaud" french title, Oscar Peterson -jazz classics!

Simple question to answer, get him a couple of jazz cds and some books along the same lines of what you know that he likes but doesn't have yet. He will love you for getting him something that will help him relax instead of causing him to do some "honeydos".

Yeah, a gift card would be a great idea, unless you know of some specific artists or authors that he is a fan of. Maybe a Miles Davis CD and a good book or something. But if you don't really know... gift cards.

Definitely a gift card. If you even start to look at Miles Davis CDs, you will be overwhelmed and have no clue if your Dad has it or not. Stat safe and buy a gift card.
