so I told him to look on our wedding registary. We just got married in October and I picked everything out for it. Do you think that was a good idea?

And I'm thinking about just keeping up a couple of registaries to help him out with ideas.

Mack, how many men were actually involved in the registary's? Very few. I'm not controlling at all and you read way too far into the question with very little detail. And then missed the most important part of the information. HE DOESN'T KNOW WHAT TO GET ME. So I gave him a boost. Jeesh.

Awesome idea!
I used to do this when several friends & roomates & I used to exchange christmas presents - it was tremndously helpful in getting something for someone that you knew for sure they would like.

This idea may seem a little insincere and maybe trivial but some guys just don;t get it. (like my ex) So what i would do every year is make a list (including pixs form the sunday ads and tape them to the list). This way he knew what store to go to and what it was I was looking for. Any size or color was also noted as well. This way I gave him options and christmas morning was still a fun time seeing what he picked out. Good luck!

He didn't have any sort of input as to your wedding registry? You said "I picked out everything for it." How controlling of a person do you want to be with the poor man?
For God's sake, let him choose a few things and quit trying to be so controlling.,,

I had never bought any Christmas gifts for a woman in my life, so when the first Christmas with my wife of 30 years (and counting) arrived, I didn't have a clue what to get her- much like your new hubby. I bought stuff for the house that I thought she/we needed, and paid the price later when she opened them.
But, at the same time, I also learned a valuable lesson, and that is communication! She told me afterwards that for Christmas it should be something "personal", not for the house.
Your Wedding Registry suggestions are "For The House!", and not from him. Tell him to just get something personal for you. Clothes (go anywhere with this one!), perfume or "bubble bath stuff", a gift certificate for a massage, a trip to someplace.
Tell him to just make it personal...
Good luck.

It works - but sounds like a bad idea because next time he is stuck on what to get you he will buy off the list again , hope you like house hold appliances.
You need to just give him a hint on things for you not the home.

surely i be attentive to a brilliant form of fellows that lack a romance gene. Their women could be fortunate to get something for valentines day no longer to show have their men remember their anniversary. My brother is terrible at romance and could choose that greater help of a secretary with the flexibility to %. out a sturdy present. I variety of choose i myself had a secretary to help %. out some presents for men. i'm clueless. previous 2 anniversaries I failed at getting a sturdy present. i think of even nonetheless the secretaries could %. out a small determination of presents and function the boys %. which one they choose. Than the boys are not sweating all day attempting to locate some thing or loathing the form. AND doing it that way they're nonetheless putting some theory into the belief.

yes that will sure help you get organized and save time , one other thing that might help is a good organized website to shop at like http://astore.amazon.com/goodmanzone-20 where you see 9 items at every screen so you can choose categories and look at the screen then look at your list to see which gift suits which person and hurray you are done shopping. from the comfort of your home " in your pajamas and while having your coffee if you like the idea "

Men ----- huh, totally clueless! Actually they aren't but we let them be.
Your idea is okay. If he needs to be guided and you are willing and it works for the two of you, horray, one less thing to argue about.
Happy Holidays!
