I have only experienced that once in my life, as a kid, and my folks and I just stood in the door and listened, thanked them, and wished them a Merry Christmas. Unfortunately I have not seen them in ages and sad to say nowadays if people when caroling they would proabably get shot or mugged.

I haven't had anyone come and sing carols at my house in...well ever. I know when I was growing up, my mom would give them cookies or something. Sorry, not much help, is it? I honestly didn't know of anyone who does the whole caroling door to door anymore. The times my kids have done it, like with church groups, it's been to retirement or nursing homes.

The most polite thing is just to listen to them, and clap when they are done and be polite and dont shout rude things out my church went caroling we didnt want any money but we did want people to be polite. Although some people do it for charity so even just like some change would help!

I open the door and listen to them sing maybe give them a Candy cane or something and tell them Merry Christmas. I would do the same thing even if I wasn't a christian because that's the spirit of the holidays.

i would gather my family and enjoy the show.we dont have carolers where i live so that would be awesome.unfotunetaly in this deranged day and age if some strange people came to my house singing christmas songs i'd think they were tryng to set me up for a robbery LOL!!!!!!!!!!!!

I would wait till they are done then clap and offer them maybe some hot cocoa or something. If they and I are close i'd let them in for something to eat(nothing fancy, just a snack)

:) :) :) What you do when people come caroling to house? you wait until they are done singing and if you have chocolate for the holidays then say thank you for caroling to my house and give 2 cholcolates to evey caroler and say merry christmas and happy new year and also say have FUN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
