Christmas - August 2006

My husband and I will be having christmas eve at our home when we move, it will be a 900 sq foot apt? How many people can we comfortably have? What are some good appetizers and desserts can I serve? How can I do this on a budget? Any suggestions.?

We exchange names each year and I ended up with my 17 year old nephew. The rule is we have to make something, sort of a giving of self, gift from the heart, home made, like that. Need ideas so I can get started. I am fairly well rounded so any ideas will be useful.

He only brings toys to rich kids. What's with that? It's all well and good if you've got a TV commercial life - but what about the kids who have to watch all that crap for two months knowing that there'll be nothing for them X-mas day but more of the same old same old?
