I had a feeling something was up when I found out there was more than one kind of Santa - at family functions there was a black Santa, but on tv Santa was always white, and in school we even had a Asian Santa. So when someone told me he didn't exist I said ahaaa!
I knew it was too good to be true because all saints are dead. If Santa did exist he would be some unholy zombie or ghosty bent on seeking revenge on the kid that broke his back and gave him a heart attack at the mall...

I was ripped at my brother for telling me to pretend to be asleep. We did when my Dad checked to see if we were, then we heard my Mom and Dad putting out presents, and my Dad swearing because he couldn't put a new bike together. I wanted to beat up my big brother. Then I just got bummed out.
My 2nd child came home from school [2nd grade] one day and said she had a fight with one of the kids in her class because he told her that there was no Santa and she was stupid to believe in him. I decided to fess up and she looked at me like I had just broken her heart, and tears rolled down her face. She asked me how I could have lied to her and NOTHING I said calmed her down.
To this day [ 20 years ago] I still think it hurts her that I lied to her.
If I could do it over again, I would never lie about Santa to my kids.

Some pple believe in Santa, and some don't. Santa exists. And even if he doesnt, who has the right to crush down someone's belief???

i never really believed in santa, even when i was in kinder i found out when we wrote letters to santa and we got a reply, the reason why it was cold was because they put it in the fridge and not because it came from the north pole. i actually saw them do this. anyways, i was indifferent. i don't blindly believe in anything.

Santa was never that generous at my house as a child so it wasn't a great loss. Peace.

Oh my, I was 14yrs old & so pissed and sometimes I still get perturbed.
My mom told me in this manner "Gladys you do know Santa is not real? (silence) Gladys, with all the other children we have to buy for, we will not be able to get you many gifts."
I'm nowhere greedy nor any of my siblings. I just love gifts.
