I woke up Christmas morning to find no Christmas tree and no presents in my living room.
My mom was still asleep, so i walked in and woke her up and said "Santa didn't come"?
She looked at me with dry eyes and said "There is no Santa".
I walked out to the living room and sat on the floor, I thought and wondered the problems that faced me.
I was five years old, and it was the first Christmas that i can remember.
My brother finally woke up and saw me sitting in the middle of the floor, he held out his hand, it was a box.
I looked at it.
"Whats this?"
"I made it for you" he replied
I opened the box it was a rock with stickers on it.
I laugh now but then i was in awe at the gift my brother gave to me.
I put the rock in the box and said "I don't want this"
and gave it back to him.
He started to cry and ran into my moms room.
I walked over to the cookies that i had left out in front of the door for Santa, and ate them I knew that there was no santa and i knew that i was just a kid.

I found the rock underneath my pillow that night, i threw it under my bed and that is were it stayed for many months.
The next chrismis i knew santa was'nt going to come but i had to do something!
I made a list and then made that list into a paper airplane and threw it out my window, but still no santa came.
Now every Christmas i don't expect a thing.
Its just another day, just like any other.:(

My sister got sliding bathroom doors one year, a chain saw one year and a circular saw the next and then a robe that was big enough to wrap around her 100 times and her husband said that it was the right size hanger....So she got even, she bought him one year a new microwave, another year a set of pj's for her that she had wanted for a long time, and a parafin wax hand and feet softner, they are strange people.
I on the other hand expected my husband of 17 years to finally remember that it is Christmas and he always forgets. But he loves me and that is gift enough.

Oh I had thoroughly forgotten till I examine your question. properly many some years in the past my father who substitute into particularly inebriated presented me in front of all my acquaintances with a pair of military blue fleecy knickers. I cried plenty and my acquaintances laughed for weeks afterwards. i'm 60+ and the memory of that day nonetheless hurts.

I received a "Last Supper" wall clock from my supervisor. It was huge! (or at least I remembered it was huge).

The clock part was in the upper left hand corner. The "Last Supper" was Leonardo DaVinci's Last Supper- 12 Apostles, et. al.

Extremely tacky and ugly.
