Why do parents lie about Santa?

I don't need an answer but I just want to explain why since a lot of people have been asking. Its supposed to be a FUN lie, think about all the fun you had as a child waking up your parents at 4 a.m., checking if the cookies and milk are gone, gazing at all the presents that say 'from Santa. Another reason to is so you can stay on the 'nice list' and keep out of your parents hair. God Bless and Merry Christmas!

What's up with the song "We wish you a Merry Christmas?

In one of the verses, it says:

We WISHED you a Merry Christmas,

And a Happy New Year!

Now, bring us some figgy pudding,

And bring it right here.

For a Christmas song, that's pretty darn pushy. What's up with that? Like, was it acceptable for Carolers way back when to ask for food or something? What's the whole history behind that? And what is Figgy Pudding?! Lol.

Do I own my friend the full amount? He agree to hang my Christmas lights for $50.00. He only put up 3 lines.?

Since I had told him he could design it any way he wanted, he insists that I pay him the full amount, since he only wanted to use three lines in his design, and not all eight of the ones I gave him. Do I owe him the full price?
