Nope. My husband is part Jewish. (Messianic) they celebrate Hanukkah, this tradition is very near Christmas involving 1 gift a day for 8 days, plus allot of sweet and fatting foods. Like jelly doughnuts and cakes.

The only depressing thing is when people treat them disrespectfully because they don’t follow a Christian tradition. Messianic celebrate Christ’s birth as well as Hanukkah. The point is like Hanukkah, Christmas is a tradition made by man, not Christ himself. i am a Christian, with Jewish beliefs. but i also know that each RELIGION has their own following of traditions that was not part of the bible or the people in the bible, but people after many many years after the bibles story. Yet Jewish follow the celebrations that Jesus himself followed in the bible plus some history created. So the depression isn't for Christmas, to me its why do they question what Christ himself honored and followed himself for as Jesus said

Mat 5:17 Think not that I am come to destroy the law, or the prophets: I am not come to destroy, but to fulfil.

Joh 3:17 For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved.

For the new testament does not replace the old and Jesus didn't rewrite what we are to believe, but he came into this world to save it and teach the words of the old in ways people can understand and bring back gods rules and laws that people back then ignored or lost its meaning. Christmas should not only be a time of Christ, but also to remember the paths of those who gave birth to Christ. They were Jewish and taught him as a Jew. God gave us a 2nd chance in forgiveness thru Christ. But god came first as the Jewish have always followed and that in itself is the reason we have Jesus being born and all that he was meant to do. Jesus followed Jewish law, but he also taught how some of the law was being misinterpreted. Jewish people are lost without Christ in their lives as revelations has shown that one day they will know him. That will also show all that Jesus coming back is becoming closer.

Have a blessed LORDS DAY, happy Hanukkah, merry Christmas and happy new years.

We do not get depressed during Christmas.
We are depressed all year round.LOL
We really concentrate on our Hanukka. We give to others, the
needy, and it doesn't matter what religion other are.
we share with friends and family. we eat latkes, jelly donuts
we also give gifts, one each night. We read the children stories
about Hanukka and how it came about....

What you do for Christmas in one day, we do it in eight days.
We are exhausted tonight, that's why wr are on-line.
