I have two friends who are both married and live abroad. I'd like to give them something practical but whimsical for xmas that they and their husbands can appreciate. Any ideas?

I'm turning 13.
But it's not that big of a deal.
I would just like to throw a fun party.
I wouldn't want to spend very much money on it.
And probably the maximum of people I'd invite would be like 5 or 6.
I had a few ideas..
Going to an amusement park
Bowling
Swimming Party
Shopping
and that's all.
And it takes place in november and I live in a cold climate so nothing that includes freezing to death. lol
Thanks! ;]

I was raised as a Christian and wasn't allowed to celebrate Halloween as a child until my mom's friend (who has 10 kids) convinced her that I was safe and wouldn't be trick or treating alone. It still wasn't ok with her but, she let me go anyway. She told me it wasn't the point of me trick or treating alone, it was the fact that it is an evil holiday. I would like to know if anyone knows how or where Holloween originated and why is it considered evil among Christians?

I will be handing out treat bags for Halloween and we don't get much kids to our house for trick or treating. So, I thought I could make a special treat for the few kids who do stop by.

Alrighty, haha, okay, I'm having a Halloween Party, I'm inviting 16 people, and I have some ideas I want to know what you think or if you have any tips:

1.It is a Costume Party, however I have a suspision some people won't dress up I want to buy cheap costume stuff for those of them that don't dress up what should I get?

2. I'll probably have a budget of $40 ish what can I do to decorate my basement creepy ish?(Ambiant lighting etc)

3. We have a "movie room" which is mainly a couch a tv, asmall keyboard, two bookcases, and acomputer desk in it, we'll only be in there to watch movies but i still want to decorate it a litte help?

4. It's a "Trick or treat" style food gathering, everybody has to bring a bag of chips/candy, or some sort of treat, whats a good way to Halloween theme the snack table, with no specific plannign on how much food their will be?

Remeber I'm budgetted but I can use stuff from around my house!

Ready GO!

My extended-family has a pumpkin carving contest every year, and the prizes always go to the funny pumpkins.

Well this year I've decided to take my humorless-self onto Yahoo Answers to see if I can get some ideas.

A few of my friends and I are going to be able to pick Halloween costumes for 2 guys. They were saying some things about women in a sociology class they shouldn't have so we want to make this a very memorable Halloween for them. They're both slight and one of them has great long blonde hair I'm dying to get my hands on. We got some ideas on Yahoo Answers for Halloween Costumes, but we got more great ideas than we expected so we thought we'd let you narrow down the nominees. We want this to be embarrassing and memorable. We want a theme for the 2 costumes, but we don't intend to let them know about each other until the party. Which nominee would you pick?
1. Original Daisy Duke/ Jessica Simpson Daisy Duke
2. I Dream of Jeanie/ Bewitched
3. Britney/ Cristina
4. Nicole/ Paris
5. Batgirl/Catwoman
6. Wilma/ Betty
7. Ginger/ Mary Ann
8. Aly/ AJ
9. Hillary & Haylie Duff
10. Jessica & Ashlee Simpson
11. Sexy School Teacher & Sexy School Girl

I want to be something really cute, maybe a bit short or low cut, but not TOO racy. I still want it to be unique, and not like some ive seen. Maybe a classic with a twist?? I am willing to make it myself. LINKS//WEBSITES GREATLY APPRECIATED!! :]
