Well... this is not for the actual Christmas day (DEC. 25) but for January 6th. What we in my family call Old Christmas.
This is something that has been in my family for as long as we can remember. It is more of a superstition than a tradition... but on Old Christmas no one is allowed to any kind of work or something very bad will happen in the new year (like a death in the family). We all just sit back relax and have a good time.

I don't know if you would call it unique, but every year I buy all of my children and my hubby a new ornament-I try to make it appropriate to milestones, changes, growth, etc. in each persons' life for the past year. As the children grew up and married or moved away, I packed each of their ornaments in a "special" box for them to take and start their own Christmas decorating. One male child had his ornaments packed in a footlocker, since it 'fit" his style, and one of my daughter's was packed in a decoupaged Angel box. I get calls from the kids every year to reminisce over the ornaments! We also always read "The Night Before Christmas" together on Christmas Eve-as the children got old enough to read, they would take turns reading a page to Mom & Dad and siblings just before dinner. Now that all are grown and gone, we have another sort of "rule"-if they have young children, we go to their home, not making them bring the kiddos out when they would MUCH rather play with new toys! We assume that the kids have enough pressure with in-laws to have to go over there, so our goal is to make less stress and more happy and fun memories. So far, it has worked. It doesn't matter to us if they are here on Christmas Day or not, as long as they have fun and love when they are here on whatever day of the busy holidays that they can make it.

Since I was a boy, we always went to early mass and then went to eat Chinese food at a local restaurant. My mother and father became friends with the owners after going there one year on their anniversary when they were very young. I'm now 35 and I take my family there too. We have become friends with the owners daughter and her husband. Their kids and our kids go to the same school and I would imagine that the tradition will continue with the next generation. Incidentally, They Lee's "catered" my mothers funeral a few years ago. We are very blessed to have such good friends.

Granny in Ohio here. A couple of years ago I began hanging small toys on my tree. A few nights before Christmas my grandchildren come o'er to celebrate with me and open the gifts I have gotten for them. They would pick names and go one at a time for a selection from the tree. They love this even more than their actual gifts. By hanging them on my tree instead of ornaments, they have the opportunity to check it out regularly to see what's new and what they might pick. It's alot of fun and they insist on doing it each year now.

I am single. So, a few years ago, I started the tradition of buying myself something (like a shirt or knickknack), wrapping it, and making it be from my cat. One Christmas I was wearing my new shirt and my sister commented on it. I told her that my cat bought it. They thought I needed professional help.

Me & my kids always make a gengerbread house. Also I always make dirty rice & cornbread dressing. Christmas Eve night we go around and see the decorated houses & look for Santa's sleigh in the sky.

I started up the single men's holiday bbq a couple of years ago. I haven't had one since, because last year I was with my family, and this year I'll still be in Iraq.
