I've noticed A LOT of the same people that expound the infamous 'land bridge THEORY" are the same people that claim to be xtians.
I wonder how is it that they balance these things with each other. How do they claim THIS theory is FACT and in a second breath say all life came from adam and eve? and in yet another breath they go with all life came from africa. How do these people sleep at night with such conflicting ideals in their heads?

I personally think so. The Dubya Administration is the most capricious of them all. He has been bestowed the ability to suspend Habeas Corpus, conduct a war under false pretenses, and be allowed the right to nullify the Bill of Rights. How in the world is he still in office? Clinton got in trouble for an affair and was impeached. Now this one has killed at least 700,000 people for personal reasons.

I'm from New Orleans, Louisiana. Many people from there are Louisiana Creoles or mixed with it. I know Creole isn't a race, but that's they term they used when they're mixed with Black, Indian, & French. My dad looks "Creole". He has straight, soft, & silky hair & light skin. My mom is Black. He so-claims to be Black, too. Later on in life, he told us that he wishes he was Black, but he's French & Indian. My mom is schizophrenic & tells us one day that we're mixed with Mexican & then the next day, she tells us that she has Turkish in her blood. I don't know what to believe. I really want to know what I'm mixed with, rather than going around, saying I'm Black. I wanna be proud of every heritage I'm mixed with. My mom & brothers & sisters tell me I'm immature for wanting to know what my heritage is, & they want me to believe I'm only Black, when I know I'm mixed. & they try to tell me lies, saying my dad isn't my dad, & that me & my twin sister have a nappy-headed dad.

People still talk of racism here, but I really don't see it. Though I've only lived in California and now New England. Is the racism just in the middle of the country or what?

Why is it that well educated African Americans and, well, all people who are well educated and not White are considered white washed? Is it jealousy or something else?

Does not have to be of great "real" value.

Mine are my father's first communion kit containing a bible, a rosary, and charms; My grandmother's rocking chair; and an old political flyer picturing my grandfather when he ran for the senate in the 60's.

Norway recently banned male circumcision, and one of the main debates is because a baby doesn't have any say.

As a result, many activist groups are stepping forward to proclaim it a religious right to circumcise a boy.

Now their argument is based on why female circumcision is bad when compared to male circumcision. Both are practiced and important in certain cultures, and both get rid of the most sensitive part of the genitilia.

As my friend writes: So why not allow them [parents] to foot the bill for female circumcision? Are you trying to say it's OK to mutilate a baby boy's genitalia but not a girl's because you happen to find the adult male circumcised penis more aestheticly pleasing?

What is your take on female and male circumcision as a cultural ritual? Should one be allowed and the other not?

am a tad wary of being mistaken for asking a racist question (im not btw, i work alongside many ethnic backgrounds, and am friendly with them all)

can anyone explain to me why independance was important, and, if it was to leave Britain (technically a sweeping statement, sorry), then what are the benefits of living here?

im completely open minded, so please dont use this as an opportunity to sling racist abuse

I would love to hear what from folks of other faiths. Hindus, Buddhists, Muslims, Catholics, Mormons, Atheists(?) etc.

Did you know that the baptists are one group you have to thank in a big way for the freedom of religion we have in this country?
You never seem to hear it.
Are we rewriting history?

Google it a bit and you will see its true.

Don't you realize we ALL immigrated from somewhere?! Even the Native Indians!

I watched a documentory on these teenage girls who were singing racist songs and worshipping Hitler. Their ethnicity was German and something else. They made a huge scene about being against immigrants, which was extremely hypocritical because their ancestors were immigrants to the USA!

I think each person should be free to move around any country, if they prove themselves worthy (i.e. good education etc) they should be allowed to live in that country.

It's so hypocritical!
