Don't you realize we ALL immigrated from somewhere?! Even the Native Indians!

I watched a documentory on these teenage girls who were singing racist songs and worshipping Hitler. Their ethnicity was German and something else. They made a huge scene about being against immigrants, which was extremely hypocritical because their ancestors were immigrants to the USA!

I think each person should be free to move around any country, if they prove themselves worthy (i.e. good education etc) they should be allowed to live in that country.

It's so hypocritical!

I'm 17, not 10. My last paragraph says that I believe that they should meet requirements before being given perminant residency. If they changed the rules, then they wouldn't be illegal would they?

If I left my back door and front door unlocked and left a sign on my door, I would be in the same position as I am every other day. Nobody would come in. I'm glad I live in New Zealand!

Yes I do remember the girl called Think!! Why?

Some ancestors of mine immigrated. I did not! And, exactly how legal, or illegal, the immigrations were is a matter for debate; but, it is a sad fact that uncontrolled immigrated recked havoc upon the native populations.

And... this is no longer as wide open a country as it was once was, or we thought it was.

The idea that we can just open our borders to everyone who wants to come here, excepting criminals, terrorists, etc, is just plain crazy. No ifs, ands, and buts.

If you can tell me how we can do it without complete chaos, I am willing to listen. So far no one has been able to tell me how.

Your right all people should be able to move around freely, but just like you said, "if they are worthy". so here comes the problem, they are illegally entering and not proving their worthieness. The problem is that we need to know who is here and what their intents are once settled here. Do you want to allow all jihadist to take up residence here and kill your friends, family and loved ones? Do you want a country full of poor uneducated workers that your tax dollars have to pay for the 14 kids they will in turn bore to get a bigger check from your goverment. So point being you are right about the worthy people and comming here legaly is a big show of worthienss. This may all sound harsh but in this day and age you look at everything from all angles.

there is nothing "iffy" about illegal immigrants. what does the word ILLEGAL mean to you?. to me it means AGAINST THE LAW. if Americans break the law they get punished. these people sneak into this country and take jobs that American workers need. they drain our welfare resources that the poor and disabled here need. they commit a lot of crime. and they live in slum conditions. we have enough slums without some foreigners adding to the problem. as you said, each person should be free to move about the country only if they are here legally but most of them are too lazy or too uneducated to apply for citizenship. my ancestors fought and died for the privilege of living is the USA and i don't see any illegal aliens doing as much. all they want is a free ride. well, i , for one wish the US government would load all of them on ships and send them back to where they came from. i don't know how old you are but you sound like a left-wing liberal to me. get a clue. ILLEGAL means just that.

My great^3 grandparents didn't come to the US "illegally".

Here's a scenario for you:

Alpha (from Mexico) comes into the ER in San Diego General Hospital, and since they can't refuse medical treatment due to the inability to pay, she births her child, Beta. Beta is a US Citizen. Alpha goes back to Mexico, and a few months later, having filled out the proper paperwork, she moves herself and the rest of her family into the US, legally.

Why is that such a big deal? Our tax dollars paid for her ER visit, and subsequent birth (all illegal up to this point). And until gainful employment, the welfare of her family in the months to come. We don't have enough people abusing that in America as it is, right?

Anyway, THAT's why the hypocrites are the way they are.

Your question says it all....people are iffy about ILLEGAL immigrants....you know criminals who broke the law.

In case you haven't noticed no one is angry at the immigrants who entered legally and respect and obey the laws of the land.

Too many people are making this into a race issue...it is not!!! It's about obeying the law. Americans have to obey the law or suffer the consequences why don't the people who wish to be Americans have to do the same?

i like latinos...but i don't care for the illegal ones. they're working for free under the table meanwhile i have to pay taxes JUST to work, which are undoubtly going to be raised to support all the people in the country who aren't citizens. and some of them don't even bother to EVER learn english. i believe that if you are moving to america you should be required to learn SOME of the language. this is the US and the official language is english..of course you can continue to use spanish in this country but if i want to talk to you i shouldn't recieve a response "No se ingles"

Hi Wabby, Did you think about the ILLEGAL IMMIGRANTS that come to our country and drawn on our Social Security that we have paid into and the Social Security hands our funds that we have paid into for our Retirement? This hurts us and by the time my kids need their S.S. There will be none. The Illegal
Immigrants are smart on how to get S.S Cards and get away with it. The ones who come into our country that did it legal and are honest and hard workers deserve to be here. Wabby think about this for awhile and I think You will Agree on this!!!
Have a nice tonight.
A Friend.

I don't think so. If anybody was allowed to move to a certain area that place will only run out of resources quicker and overpopulate. Why do you think we have immigration rules? Because it's fun?

Migrants into any country should follow the procedure the government has in place, and should not try to jump the queue by entering illegally.
