Thank the baptists for freedom of Religion in the US?

I would love to hear what from folks of other faiths. Hindus, Buddhists, Muslims, Catholics, Mormons, Atheists(?) etc.

Did you know that the baptists are one group you have to thank in a big way for the freedom of religion we have in this country?
You never seem to hear it.
Are we rewriting history?

at the instant i think of that's greater freedom to have self assurance as those in potential do.....all others could have self assurance as those in potential do to boot or be dealt with as 4th type voters. *shrugs* How does it make me sense? like all different 4th type citizen - i'm a Pagan, despite the fact that the present administration has brazenly suggested that such ideals do not exist (oh quite?) for this reason the battles Wiccan widows and widowers had to get the Pentacles on military headstones and the VA combating it not ordinary for YEARS till Roberta Stewart took it public, have been given public sentiment on her element, dissent! Then have been given woman Liberty League to lower back her up between different communities such simply by fact the Pagan headstone marketing campaign, and the VA relented at long final - the Pentacle is now authorized on the VA's checklist of religious symbols, however that's nonetheless called a non-faith by skill of the present admin. and spiritual fans which includes Falwell blamed 9/11 on Pagans and others to boot.....*shrugs* does not make it authentic, yet does not recommend we could take a seat lower back and take it the two. i % to dissent and to purpose to alter how Pagans are portrayed interior the media - we at the instant are not "Charmed Ones", we at the instant are not as considered in "The Craft" or "sensible Magic" or "Harry Potter" or the different e book/action picture sequence obtainable - yet simply by such portrayals, the administration/gov't keeps to apply incorrect information to assert perception structures not matching theirs do not count type - even that not having a perception device (aka Atheism) isn't a valid thank you to think of - yet, became this united states not consistent with religious freedom? To me meaning freedom to have self assurance what you will and prepare suggested ideals as you will as long as you injury none (for this reason not breaking the different regulations ie: no homicide and mayhem....) you will in no way please *truthfully everyone* in a society of many like this, yet to coach such blatant disrespect for the kind of super variety of is obscene. the present administration has carried out little else from the beginning up, yet that's in simple terms IMHO.

we have freedom of religion, because thomas jefferson, and ben franklin, among others believed we as americans should be able to worship as we wanted to without fear of persecution. the ironic part is........jefferson and franklin were both atheists!!! cool huh?
