It's true. We love to hear the Brits speak, especially educated Brits. You'll have your choice of American girls the minute you say "hello."

This American girl loves a Welsh accent, but of course, most like the upper class accent best. Nobody can understand the low brow accents. The joke is made on BBCA that closed captioning is available to translate. It's funny because it's so true.

It's just a posh accent. Americans would find other English accents unintelligible and would likely get a response of, "Huh?"

I can understand the posh accent but have trouble with some of the other accents...

Oh I'm sure they all have preferences....some would like a Hugh Grant type while some would go crazy over a Mancunian or Liverpool accent....they all have attractions....Im Brit and I LOVE a man with an American accent Alabama is a fave!

If they are little teeny-boppers, you could probably give them a Cockney accent & they still would think it is cool. They are not mature enough to distinguish high-class British accents & low-class British accents & think everyong sounds like the Queen.

i'm not sure of the locale associated with what accent. but i'm sure it's not the one where the person speaking sounds like they have a mouthful of marbles.
