Blacks v. Latinos?

Question

I wasn't aware that blacks and latinos had it in for eachother. Is this true? Somebody really needs to tell me these things.

I could be wrong now, but from my observations most of the people here saying that Blacks and Latinos have an issue with eachother seem to be of a non-black and non-latino background.

There is much violence between Blacks and Latinos in the LA area. It stems from Latinos moving into predominately black neighborhoods "taking homes and jobs". The same old immigration stuff, even though Latinos are really part of the culture here. It's a sad thing to see, and mostly gang based.

some do because of the age old battle of skin color some darker skinned latinos deny being black because African heritage is not as well accepted in spanish speaking communities(not all though). Check out the ***** encyclopedia at your local library. There is tons of great info on black latinos. I don't have anything personally against them because I feel that we are running the same race. Some of the latinos that I have met are racist but the two I met 2day are very nice.

I'm with you. Never heard witnessed this before. I am married to a Latino and our families are just fine. We are all people of color, so I hope that is just a myth. :)

Edit: Are we talking about Latinos or Hispanics here? They are two different groups, however, I have no problem with either.

Only in California it seems to me, because i have been to new york and up there, blacks and Latinos get along very well, and from what knowledge i gathered, they get along quite well in florida also.

UH YEAH!
Mostly the Mexicans and white Latinos are racist.

In Latin American countries the mixed and black Latinos face just as much racism as we do in USA.

In Mexico, they are racist against the ORIGINAL Aztec Native Americans, and against black Mexicans.

Here in Texas Mexicans are like the white people they're both racist.

But then again I believe EVERY race in America is racist towards blacks, and Native Americans.

I think its confined to LA. Ever since they became the majority in many formally black areas, hispanics have been trying to make some serious and unethical power grabs out there.

100% depends on who you are and where you live. Growing up in New York there are alot of black and latino gangs who would be in conflict. But in other parts of the country it is different.

i live in florida...and i wanna know the same thing cause i just got here i think its more blacks and mexicans in cali don't like each other because i seem to see them gettin along down here
