Seriously, what is with all the stupid and ignorant race questions? I'm looking around on the site and all I find is stupid racist questions. Most of them are about black people and most of them are posted by stupid,redneck,white supremacists. Look around the site, most if not all the racist questions (not only about blacks but other races as well) are posted by white people. I seriously want to know. We all know they wouldn't say stuff like that in real life fearing they would be rejected by the general population and labeled racists so they come on here and rant on and on about stupid racist things. Yahoo Answers really need to delete stupid racist questions or better yet delete the user who posted them. Anyone else think all these race related questions are getting out of hand, and Yahoo isn't doing its job to stop them?

My pyschiatrist says that my bipolar illness has to do with the fact that my father is European (Scottish) and my mother is Spanish (Peruvian). I have always felt like an outsider. I feel as though I am not accepted in society by Europeans or Spanish. I live in Washington State so I feel like I am more in touch with European culture. I visited my family in Peru in 99 for three weeks. I was very sad when I left. I often feel that I should have stayed in Peru. The summer of 99 is when my troubles started. I was diagnosed as bipolar in 2000. I visited Scotland in 98 and was very depressed for two days. I have worked lots of low skill jobs with Mexican immigrants. I speak Spanish so people always assume that I undertand their situation. I think that I am out of balance. I feel as if I have one foot in North America and one foot in South America but I feel that I am leaning to much in North America. Are there any mixed race people who feel the way that I do?

Everyone stereotypes, it is a natural brain process that makes information quicker to retrieve. It is unproductive and costly to the brain to make such social conclusions only after getting to know a person. Like labels, or socks we group things together and deal with the one out of place later on. Anyway, my problem is that MANY blacks consider stereotyping a bad thing when it is directed at them. However, MANY verify the stereotypes themselves with their behavior and then complain. Also, don't make generalizations on yourself and not expect others not too.

Example: SOME Blacks will make comments like, "white people can't dance" or "Stop acting like a white person". Isn't that contradictory? Okay, if there are no observable differences available to stereotype then how can whites/blacks have different ways of talking, dressing, walking even?

to me I find it interesting when people say you can tell by someone's name what their ethnic heritage is. I used to think think so but now It doesn't seem to be the case. For example I have known two people who have told me they were Jewish but their last names were: steel and slade two very WASPy sounding names. So what do people mean when they say a Jewish name? Names like Steel and Slade sound Anglo-Saxon.

strarving themselfs. some of them have one kid dead another near death and the wife is knocked up . why would we continue to feed them when it is only letting more babies be born into that suffering. oh come we dont say ok you can have food if you are fixed. and then offer them some surgical solution . i do know they are given as many condoms as they want but they dont use them so when do we say enough and insist they think about when to have a kid and how they will feed them .

You know, I don't know if the linked showed up correctly, but I was apalled by the last answer that I recieved. It suprises me how this person has the audacity to say that I am subconsciously stuckup bc I choose not to have the same mannerisms as them. The thing about this situation is this... I would be alot friendlier to these girls, however... it is kind of hard to do this when you are getting go to hell looks from the majority of them. The only reason I talk down on their behavior is bc of the fact this very behavior keeps the stereotype alive of black females. These things make other races and ethnicites see us as the bottom of the barrel when it comes to dating. So, if that last person (who posted an answer) wants to see me as stuck up.. that is fine.. however, I am going to continue doing what I do. I am not the 1 who is being rude.
