Once the government gives a group a special status, protected from offensive remarks and shielded from having to bear the responsibility for their own choices, the favored group usually wastes no time in finding just as many ways to be "offended" as possible. They get hypersensitive and loud, and demanding, and rude, and pushy. (But don't you dare push back!) Being offended becomes the group's major path to power, and they pursue it aggressively, in as many ways as they can.

It is all about the EGO
Its task is to find a balance between primitive drives, morals, and reality while satisfying the id and superego. Its main concern is with the individual's safety and allows some of the id's desires to be expressed, but only when consequences of these actions are marginal. Ego defense mechanisms are often used by the ego when id behaviour conflicts with reality and either society's morals, norms, and taboos or the individual's expectations as a result of the internalization of these morals, norms, and taboos.
The easy way out "just say"
I agree to disagree and then leave the subject alone

It is manner, not manor...but they probably either think you are challenging them or they want to challenge you. Power and issues are hopelessly intertwined, we should all just relax and try to learn from each other. Don't give up, keep asking in a non-threatening way and maybe in some cases you will be a real point of communication and understanding.

there are no confrontations or comebacks
these people jump on popular bandwagons
and go with the main obvious flow of answers!
rather than put their mind to it
and give a independently thought out answer
its easier to say what others are saying
and rarely ever comes from their true feelings in these instances.SO I WILL REPORT YOU

I know exactly what you mean. There are some hot heads about for sure. Just keep on having fun and try to ignore them.
You have a right to your opinion and people should respect each others opinions without attacking them.

Because no-one wants to hear the true facts even if they want an answer to a question as to whether they are right or wrong. They just want everyone to agree with them for self satisfaction.

Becasue they are very strong in thier beliefs and can't handle anyone having a diffrent belief, I know I'm guilty of this too, but if you feel strongly about something it's only natural to want to defend it.

You're making a judgement about others. What may seem trivial or of no importance to you, may well be important to others. Therefore you have to respect others beliefs and their right to stick up for them.

I think this is a British trait. I am quite sure that all my opinions are the correct ones and I am unanimous in that.
