I would not call it a culture, but traditions. It was not that long ago i.e. post and pre world war ll that immigrants were flooding our shores. I for one am a child of Belgian immigrants from 1955. We have certain things that we do on holidays, my mother never had Thanksgiving as it was not one of her holidays. The Jewish have their religious traditions as do other religions. Certain white ethnic groups eat different foods than you and I. So , yes we have a culture to some sort, but i would classify it as a sub culture, we are all white with different beliefs, at least in this country we do not fight wars over our diversity.

I suppose the european is the "White culture". In general it is much more checked, governed and proper then other cultures. It often puts making good money and getting a good education as two of the highest things to acheive in life. There is of course also cowboy culture which is predominatly white and the cultures of people in the north west, less defined but its own nonetheless. hmmm... this is a good question.

For as long as I have lived, a little of 17 years, I have had no real culture. It seems like us white people adopt the culture of other races, sometimes depending on what side of the country we live on. Here in the South West, we have adopted the Native American and Mexican cultures, but back east, it is the African-American culture. We have nothing to call our own because we have spread all over, like a bug or disease, and that is the reason why I hate being white. We need a culture of our own!

I am non-white and I think white people are just as equal as any other people...

Yes, they do have their own culture.

But white people have spread around the world and they have settled in so many different countries, there is no one "universal" white culture.

And the term "white" is somewhat misleading and it can cause confusions since it means different things in different regions...

According to the US Census, "white" means someone of European, Middle Eastern (European Lebanese, northern Iranians, Armenians, Azeris, etc.), and North African (Libyan, Algerian, etc.) descent.

Hope this helps.

Just watch a few episodes of leave it to beaver - that's the base foundation of the white american culture. If you want white in other countries - that's a whole different animal, and the answer is yes, varied and deeply rooted.

I think the question you're meaning to ask is "Do Americans have a culture?". People everywhere celebrate their different cultures. It's only in America where it is so much of a melting pot of cultures that it's people have essentially forgotten what culture they come from.

I don't think culture always has to do with race. For many, it has to do with their anscestor's country of origin. My family celebrates traditions from several cultures--Spanish, Native American, Irish, and German, mainly.
