Everyone stereotypes, it is a natural brain process that makes information quicker to retrieve. It is unproductive and costly to the brain to make such social conclusions only after getting to know a person. Like labels, or socks we group things together and deal with the one out of place later on. We may not like it but it is nearly impossible not to do so. http://psychologytoday.com/articles/pto-19980501-000029.html

Anyway, my problem is that MANY blacks consider stereotyping a bad thing when it is directed at them. However, MANY verify the stereotypes themselves with their behavior and then complain. Also, don't make generalizations on yourself and not expect others not too.

Example: SOME Blacks will make comments like, "white people can't dance" or "Stop acting like a white person". Isn't that contradictory? Okay, if there are no observable differences available to stereotype then how can whites/blacks have different ways of talking, dressing, walking even?

you just said stereotyping is natural. So what is the matter with accusing someone of it. I dont fight the stereotyping. Some are bad some are good. And hell, if I feel like having an outburst at the theatre, I can. cause thats what black people do.

Stereotypes can be used to ones advantage. A white huy who can dance will be the center of attention. A black guy dancing is just a clown. A smart white guy is just a smart white guy, but a smart black guy is brilliant, articulate, so on and so on.

Head hassling. Bottom line, we're all people. All of us subject to the flaws of being human. The very nature of your question is conflicting with what you're saying.

Relax. People are people. See the good. Feel the love.

I think Blacks are ignorant of their generic make up here in America. The blacks here have on average 21% white genes, due to the fact the black slave women were impregnated so often by white slave owners and the fact that many blacks and whites have mixed so much since then.

Ignorance, Id say is the main reason. There is NO SUCH THING AS A PURE BLACK here in USA They have a mix of white genes in their genenes. So to say that its black that does this is that is plain nonsense, Perhaps its the white genes which give them the complex you refer to. Maybe its the mix of white genes in their bodies that makes them DANCE BETTER./

Yo will note that no blacks in Africa can dance very well, So be your own judge on that one.
