Everyone stereotypes, it is a natural brain process that makes information quicker to retrieve. It is unproductive and costly to the brain to make such social conclusions only after getting to know a person. Like labels, or socks we group things together and deal with the one out of place later on. We may not like it but it is nearly impossible not to do so. http://psychologytoday.com/articles/pto-19980501-000029.html
Anyway, my problem is that MANY blacks consider stereotyping a bad thing when it is directed at them. However, MANY verify the stereotypes themselves with their behavior and then complain. Also, don't make generalizations on yourself and not expect others not too.
Example: SOME Blacks will make comments like, "white people can't dance" or "Stop acting like a white person". Isn't that contradictory? Okay, if there are no observable differences available to stereotype then how can whites/blacks have different ways of talking, dressing, walking even?
