In all of your remarks regarding this topic, I just want to puke at the ignorance of the entire nation on "race". Biologically/scientifically speaking there is absolutely no such thing. Infact, I think this word and concept should be banned and replaced with culture or ethnicity. People in India, South America, China, Africa, and the Middleeast all have darker skin because it's hot in those places and melanin, a brown pigment that covers skin, is needed to protect people from the sun, otherwise everyone would die off from skin cancer or burn. Same with hair a thicker hair and darker color are needed to protect the cranial area. Therefore, the healtheir, darker skintone is a dominant gene, like not being color blind is a dominant gene because it's needed for survivial. Most darker people in america have the same culture because we have been limited to only those with a dominat gene, due to slavery or hatred of the amt of melanin you produce. It's virtually impossible for s/o to be pure

The amount of emphasis being placed on this particular Hollywood stereotype is laughable....utterly and completely laughable.

I`ve been trying since 2000 to launch a book about Hollywood and corporate identity: enumerating the ways in which tinseltown-then as well as now- demean and assimilate Italians, Jews, hispanics, blacks, and Asians. No luck!

Along comes the Arab issue....and wow....even BAFTA is launching a series of events.

Get it right, guys? Bollywood is Bollywood. The east Indians were never a significant force in the American film industry and forced to suffer the same abuses of Jews, Italians, hispanics, and others including the British (just think of all those Brits who have had to Americanise their diction and personality so as to fit in)

Neither were the Arabs. But that doesn`t stop some people.

Anyone out there? Hello! Hello!

I'm not perfect by any stretch of the imagination and yes i do drink to much but i always seem to get involved with things when i don't really need to.
If there is a fight outside a night club you can bet your bottom dollar that i'll be the one dives in to try and break it up only to end up getting my head kicked in! I don't no what it is, i seem to be like a moth to a flame.

Asians are smart, but we have better techonology, education, professionals, and best colleges here.

So, why can't they make their country better than Amercia?

Why Chinese can't do things better than America?

Are they smart people?

I think the style originated from the hip-hop culture but I am not sure. I have seen a lot of guys lately with clothes WAY to big, and hats with stickers still on them and that kind of thing and I just don't get it. I mean the hat thing is probably just some new style, but since when is good style wearing clothes 5 sizes to big for you?

There are many polygamist communities out there, and although they are against the law, no one is doing anything. As one politician said, "Where are you going to put them all, there isn't room in the jails!", plus there is abuse, poverty, lots of the children, etc so it would be a big stress on tax dollars to get the people rehabed. Should we then just let the communities be, or should we think of a plan? Anyone have any ideas?

While no generalization is completely true for everyone in a given locality, people in certain countries do often tend to act slightly different than the people in others.

In most of the industrialized/developed nations (in Europe and East Asia for example), people seem to be considered more formal than Americans -- less likely to smile and strike up a conversation with a complete stranger, and perhaps a little less likely to shout and act silly in public! In particular, I have heard this to be true of Germany, France, Russia, Japan, and China. However, I've heard this may not be true of Spain, Denmark, and New Zealand, but I'm not sure about the United Kingdom, Australia, and Canada.

Would anyone happen to know of any other industrialized/developed nations, besides the United States, where the people in general are informal, friendly, outgoing, and exuberant?

Thanks!

I don't understand many immigrants come to the U.S just to work and make a living so they can send the money to their poor families from were ever they are from. some people say that they take jobs away, but the jobs that immigrants do, many other people wouldn't do.

I don't understand, could someone tell me the reason why this is.

When my friends say something racist to me. Like white trash, or casper. I just laugh. But why are some people so sensative, and offended to the slightest things. They take it out of proportion and to the extreme. Sometimes people are just joking and having some fun with stereotypes, they don't mean anything bad.

I've noticed that Africans are the most sensative. They will lash out at me, and yell like you can hear her from a mile away. I think they are too sensative or still have a feeling of inferiority. I mean I don't believe in races. I'm only saying African american so that you can understand what i'm describing. This is all my experience from my short life, so don't lash out on me.

How could black people "get over slavery"? Are u serious? Are you really that self-centered? Yes, slavery happened long ago, but black people can't just "get over slavery", those are our ancestors, people fought for us to be free today, our ancestors where beaten and killed, how can we just get over slavery? ok...since we should get over slavery, I guess the Jews, should get over the Holocaust, 9/11 families should get over losing their loved ones from 9/11, these things may not have happened to us personally, but it still have an effect on us. Yes, I do believe black people, should stop pulling the race card and stop blaming everything on society and bringing up slavery every chance they get, because they do have the opportunity to do something with themselves, but at the same time, You tell blacks to get over slavery, but yet, You and your other friends still have the slavery mentality as well, Everytime you call us a Ni**er, everytime you come on here making racist postings...

Isn't it a bit racist to use race to define such negative words.

Why they gotta use race?

part 1

I'm not saying that all whites are racists, or that all racists are white. And I don't care if someone is racist, as long as it doesn't affec my life in any way. My question is, in a country that is mostly white, why are racists so bitter? If whites don't like a group of people, they can eaisly move away from them. For example, most suburbs are at least 90% white. And there are many suburbs that are 100% white, with no jews or anything. So why would racists spend so much time hating us, if they don't have to deal with us? They don't even have to look at us tv if they don't want to, because white people are the majority in all commercials, tv shows, and other forms of media. Except channels like BET and Telemundo.
